BLOGS of concert tours ...Jeff Manookian Piano ConcertoThis link details my debut of a piano concerto written and dedicated to me in Yerevan, Armenia, by composer Jeff Manookian. Audio, video, photos, a newpaper interview, and program notes are included Shadows UncoveredFor the past few years I have been passionately researching piano music of the Russian futurists, roughly l900-1930, and have performed a number of recitals in the US and abroad showcasing this music. This link contains audio files and video files of these rare masterworks. Berlin and AmsterdamIn the spring of 2008 I spent a few months in Berlin working with a contemporary composer, Petros Ovsepyan, among other contemporary German composers, practicing and performing their works. In Berlin I performed at the BKA concert Series, Schwartzvilla Concert Series as well as the Karnatic Lab Series in Amsterdam. This link contains a video clip and photos. Argentina, Chile, and EcuadorFor many years I have been performing in South America--especially the Andean mountain range. My recent travels have been to Argentina and Chile where I played a concerto with the Tucuman Symphony in Argentina and American music sponsored by the US Embassy in Santiago, Chile. This link provides audio, notes and video clips of playing related to Chile and Argentina as well as a trip to Ecuador where I taught and played for a piano festival in Cuenca, Ecuador. IndiaTwo years ago, I had the great opportunity to live in India with Dr. Parag Mehta and his family.
